I (heart) the Northwest!

There's a variety of reasons to love the Pacific Northwest area, like all the great bands that call this area home, but one of the main reasons i love it here is the beautiful scenery. Every day I walk to and from work, takes about 40minutes, I can see the mountains hovering just North of downtown, and i pass by a water front with boats and fog rolling in from the ocean just a few miles west. It's a very calming walk, even when it's raining.
One of the other reasons i love living in Vancouver is the proximity to Seattle, Washington, which is a little over 2 hours drive south. Seattle is such an amazing city, tons of great record & book stores, thai food and coffee shops everywhere, and of course Wayward Cafe which serves up some tasty vegatarian eats.
Here's some pictures that were taken along my walk to work, and from the (rainy) drive to Seattle last weekend.

What a glorious rainy day in Seattle! This was taken on the bridge just past the U District, heading into the city. Normally you can see the hills and skyscrapers, but not last saturday.
