Las Vegas!!

Last weekend was spent in Las Vegas, 3 days of scorching heat in the desert. I've been to Las Vegas many times, it's not my favorite city to visit but this time i had a blast!! The reason for going was my old friend Aram was getting married to a great girl named Kim. Me and Aram have been friends for a very long time, around 15years now, so I didn't care how much the flight cost me, i was going to be at his wedding.
I got to town on Friday night, found the motel i was sharing with Dave & Adam, and quickly changed into a different set of clothes and headed to the bachelor party. I'm not gonna go into much detail on the bachelor party, there is a certain code of silence that comes with these things, but i will say that everyone had a great time! After the bachelor party we met up with some people and wandered the strip for a bit, and crawled into our tiny motel close to 4am, tired and sweaty.
Saturday was the big day! The ceremony was great, very touching and emotional. It was pretty cool to see so many hardcore guys & girls dressed up! After the ceremony everyone went to this restaurant for cake & coffee. The best man, as well as the fathers of the bride & groom gave speeches, and Aram's dad gave the most amazing speech ever! It was like a non-stop burn on Aram, for the most part, it was incredible!!
After all the wedding stuff i got to hang out with my friend Spence and his wife from San Diego. Besides the actual ceremony the best part of this weekend was getting to spend time hanging out with people I know from all over north america that i don't get to see very often. Spence is one of those people. We had fun hitting record stores and going out for chinese food. Good times!
Sunday was spent wandering Vegas by myself, as my flight wasn't until night time. I hit up the buffet at the Sahara, ate alot of food. Then i just wandered the strip, dying in the insane heat, dodging in & out of casinos to take in the cool air being spit forth from the air conditioner. It got to be too much, so I went to the airport early, found an abandoned, quiet area and passed out on the flooor for a bit.
All in all Vegas was pretty damn fun! I'm glad I was there to share such a special moment of such a dear old friend. And it was great to see so many familiar faces for the first time in a while and to also meet some new people. But i really can't see myself going back to Vegas for a very long time.
